queen-of-Hoxton-neon-outline

Bar, nightclub, roof terrace, performance space and art gallery, Queen of Hoxton is a staple of the East End’s cultural fabric, complete with a delicious off the grill menu and inventive cocktail list.

Holding court in the heart of Shoreditch with a tight programme of music, workshops, creative events, and seasonal rooftop pop-ups, Queen of Hoxton has been busy keeping London’s culturally switched on hedonists occupied every night of the week since 2009.

Equally tailored for the musically discerning, we’ve hosted some of the hottest names on the scene over the years, including Django Django, Lianne La Havas, Gold Panda and Miles Kane, as well as world class electronic DJ/Producers like; Caribou, Todd Terje, Crazy P, Maya Jane Coles, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Greg Wilson.

Our stunning rooftop terrace is the original home of Rooftop Film Club and our seasonal immersive pop ups. Recent themes include Smokin’ Graciela’s – a cuban themed bar with cabanas and domino tables, and Once Upon A WigWam, inspired by Grimms’ fairy tales and complete with gingerbread bar. On Queen of Hoxton’s rooftop you’ll find event-specific food offerings, as well as a lovingly-curated cocktail seasonal menu.

With the London Evening Standard, The Metro and Time Out London regularly raving about our events programme and rooftop, Queen of Hoxton continues to be a vital hotspot on the Shoreditch map.

“The power of social media now allows one to capture all the honest ramblings of Londoners and they just simply love this establishment. It is fun, unpretentious, unique and cutting edge”

Sister Venues

We, Mothership,  currently have four venues, three in East London and the fourth in Brighton. The Book Club and the Queen of Hoxton are both big, well-known, successful and regularly feature in the press. Stories is the smaller sister of the two, perfectly positioned for the thinkers and drinkers of Broadway Market in East London. Patterns is the newest member of the group, a day- to -night terrace bar and club.

The Book Club

The Book Club offers a cultural revolution to the East End’s social scene turning the conventional arts institution on its head, fusing boozing with brain power every night of the week through our thought provoking programme of Thinking & Drinking events.

Patterns

Brighton’s iconic sea front is home to Motherships newest venture, Patterns. It promises a round-the-clock friendly and vibrant atmosphere, ideal for lazy weekend lunches on the sea-facing terrace, mid-week gigs and after work socialising in the bar, right through to after-hours revelry in the basement club. The day-to-night terrace bar and club will pay homage to Brighton’s underground music with a stellar first line-up including Gilles Peterson, Optimo and DBS1. Introducing an impressive drinks menu that reflects the playful Patterns spirit; a selection of local craft beers, international draught favourites and extensive range of spirits will be served across both floors. We will also be teaming up with Brighton’s hottest street food outlet, Street Diner, to bring the tastiest of treats from all corners of the globe.
